- Nanotechnology is one of the fastest-emerging areas of scientific research.  It is the design and engineering of materials and particles at the molecular or atomic level.  Nanotechnology is used to make materials stronger, clothing more stain-resistant, and computer chips more sophisticated.  A nanometer is one-billionth of a meter in length; a sheet of paper is 100,000 nanometers thick.     Education Today April 1, 2009

- It has been projected that the top 10 jobs for today's students don't yet exist, and will be using technologies that haven't been invented to solve problems we don't know are problems yet.
